Policresulen acts as an antiseptic and promotes the selective coagulation and shedding of pathologically altered or necrotic (dead) tissue, which aids in the healing process. Indications and Uses Albothyl is for local, intravaginal use only and should not be swallowed. It is generally recommended for use at bedtime to facilitate deep insertion while lying down and to avoid the suppository from falling out.
